SEVEN SEGMENT INTRUDER ALARM CIRCUIT

Here is the circuit diagram of a seven segment counter based on the counter IC CD 4033. This circuit can be used in conjunction with various circuits where a counter to display the progress  adds some more attraction. IC NE 555 is wired as an astable multivibrator for triggering the CD 4033. For each pulse the out put of CD 4033 advances by one count. The output of CD 4033 is displayed by the seven segment LED display LT543. Switch S1 is used to initiate the counting. Diode D1 prevents the risk of accidental polarity reversal.

Cut rate Motorbike Alarm

Here is an alarm that’s loud, cheap and simple  to build. Arming and disarming the alarm is  done with a hidden switch, S1. This tiny circuit  does not unduly load the battery, as it draws  very little current in the standby condition. To activate the alarm, turn or press the hid-den switch S1 to the ‘on’ position. If anyone  attempts to start the motorbike, +12 volts  from the ignition switch (connected to ‘B’)  causes transistor T1 to conduct and switch on  T2. The siren (LS1) then sounds for about 20  seconds, the period being determined by FET  T3 wired as a monostable timer. The siren is  a high-power ready-made piezo horn of the  self-oscillating type.

Cut-rate Motorbike Alarm Circuit diagram :

Another piezoelectric component in the cir-cuit has a different purpose — Bz1 detects  attempts to tamper with the vehicle, or move  it without starting the engine. The piezo trans-ducer element should be mounted in such a  way as to faithfully pick up vibration from the  motorbike frame due to tampering.

One set of contacts on relay RE1 is used to  effectively disconnect the ignition coil to pre-vent the bike from functioning when some-one tries to steal it. Usually, there is a wire  running from the alternator (point A) to the  ignition coil (TR1), which has to be routed  through the N/C (normally closed) contact  of the relay. The hidden switch S1 is preferably a miniature type or its electrical equivalent. To deactivate the alarm, the hidden  switch should be flipped to the ‘off’ position  to disable the movement sensor and the siren driver/timer circuit when the ignition key is  turned…

Pyro Electric Fire Alarm

Here is an ultra-sensitive fire sensor that exploits the direct piezoelectric property of an ordinary piezo element to detect fire. The lead zirconate titanate crystals in the piezo element have the property to deform and generate an electric gate protected p-channel MOSFETs in the inputs. It has high speed of performance and low input current requirements. There are two inputs—the non-inverting input (pin 3) connected to the piezo element through diode D7 (OA71) that carries the voltage signal from the piezo element and the inverting input (pin 2) that gets a preset voltage momentarily changes the voltage level at pin 3 of IC1 and its output swings high.

Transistor T1 conducts taking the reset pin 12 of IC2 to ground. IC2 is now enabled and starts oscillating. With the shown values of the oscillating components C3 (0.22μ) and R6 potential when heated, thus converting the piezo element into a heat sensor. The circuit described here is very sensitive. It gives a warning alarm if the room temperature increases more than 10°C. The entire circuit has two sections—the sensor and the power supply section.

Fig. 1: Pyroelectric fire Sensor Circuit Diagram:
 sensor circuit diagram

Sensor side circuit. Fig. 1 shows the fire sensor circuit. The front end of the circuit has a sensitive signal amplifier built around IC1 (CA3130). It gives a high output when temperature near the piezo element increases. IC CA3130 is a CMOS operational amplifier with gate protected p-channel MOSFETs in the inputs. It has high speed of performance and low input current requirements. There are two inputs—the non-inverting input (pin 3) connected to the piezo element through diode D7 (OA71) that carries the voltage signal from the piezo element and the inverting input (pin 2) that gets a preset voltage through VR1.

Fig. 2: Power Supply with Battery Backup:
Pyro

By adjusting VR1,it is easy to set the reference voltage level at pin 2. In normal condition, IC1 gives a low output and the remaining circuitry is in a standby state. Capacitor C2 keeps the non-inverting input of IC1 stable,so that even a slight change in voltage level in the inputs can change the output to high. Normally, IC1 gives a low output, keeping transistor T1 non-conducting. Reseting pin 12 of IC2 (CD4060) connected to the collector of transistor T1 gets a high voltage through R5 and IC2 remains disabled. When the piezo element gets heat from fire, asymmetry in its crystals causes a potential change, enabling capacitor C2 to discharge.

It (1M), the first output (Q3) turns high after a few seconds and a red LED2 starts flashing. If heat near the piezo persists, Q7 (pin 14) output of IC2 becomes high after one minute, and the alarm starts beeping. If heat continues, Q9 (pin 15) turns high after four minutes and turns on the relay driver transistor T2. At the same time, diode D8 conducts and IC2 stops oscillating and toggles. The solenoid pump connected to the N/O (normally opened) contact of the relay starts spraying the fire-ceasing foam or water to the possible sites of fire. Power supply circuit. Powe supply section (Fig. 2) comprises a 0-12V, 1A step-down transformer with a standard full-wave rectifier formed by D1 through D4 and filter capacitor C1. A battery backup is provided if the mains supply is cut-offb due to short-circuit and fire. A 12V, 4.5Ah rechargeable battery is used for backup to give sufficient current to the solenoid pump. When mains power is available, diode D5 forward biases.

It provides power to the circuit and also charges the battery through resistor R2, and it limits the charging current to 120 mA. When power fails, diode D5 reverse biases and diode D6 forward biases, giving instant backup to the circuit. LED1 indicates the availability of mains power. Assemble the circuit on a generalpurpose PCB and enclose it in a suitable case. Connect the piezo element to the circuit using a thin insulated wire. Glue the flat side of the piezo element on a 30×30cm aluminium sheet to increase its sensitivity. Fix the sheet with the piezo sensor to the site where protection is needed. The remaining circuit can be fixed at a suitable place. If only the alarm generator is needed, omit the relay driver section.

Simple Car Alarm Arming Horn Beep Canceller

Its a great convenience that most modern cars come with a built in alarm, however it is nothing but noise pollution that the horn sounds when the alarm is armed. Disconnecting the alarm system from the horn relay will eliminate this, but prevent the horn from sounding in the even of an actual alarm. This circuit serves to silence the arming beep yet maintain the alarm by introducing a small delay into the signal. It sits between the alarm and horn relay. The alarm must provide a constant horn signal for at least 3 seconds before the horn relay is activated. That way the quick "beep" will never activate the horn relay, while the constant alarm signal will.

Simple Burglar Alarm Wiring diagram Schematic

This is the simple burglar alarm with timed shutoff. In this schema when SI (sensor) is closed, power is applied to U2, a dual timer. After a time determined by C2, CI is energized after a predetermined time determined by the value of C5, pin 9 of U2 becomes low, switching off the transistor in the opt isolator, cutting anode current of SCR1 and de-energizing Kl. The system is now reset.

Fridge door Alarm

This schema, enclosed into a small box, is placed in the fridge near the lamp (if any) or the opening. With the door closed the interior of the fridge is in the dark, the photo resistor R2 presents a high resistance (>200K) thus clamping IC1 by holding pin 12 high. When a beam of light enters from the opening, or the fridge lamp illuminates, the photo resistor lowers its resistance (<2k),>

Burglar Alarm with 4 ways

In this schema, the alarm will be switched on under the following four different conditions: 1. When light falls on LDR1 (at the entry to the premises). 2. When light falling on LDR2 is obstructed. 3. When door switches are opened or a wire is broken. 4. When a handle is touched.

http://www.electronic-diagram-diagrams.com/alarmsimages/10.gif

The light dependent resistor LDR1 should be placed in darkness near the door lock or handle etc. If an intruder flashes his torch, its light will fall on LDR1, reducing the voltage drop across it and so also the voltage applied to trigger 1 (pin 6) of IC1. Thus transistor T2 will get forward biased and relay RL1 energise and operate the alarm. Sensitivity of LDR1 can be adjusted by varying preset VR1. LDR2 may be placed on one side of a corridor such that the beam of light from a light source always falls on it. When an intruder passes through the corridor, his shadow falls on LDR2. As a result voltage drop across LDR2 increases and pin 8 of IC1 goes low while output pin 9 of IC1 goes high. Transistor T2 gets switched on and the relay operates to set the alarm. The sensitivity of LDR2 can be adjusted by varying potentiometer VR2. A long but very thin wire may be connected between the points A and B or C and D across a window or a door. This long wire may even be used to lock or tie something. If anyone cuts or breaks this wire, the alarm will be switched on as pin 8 or 6 will go low. In place of the wire between points A and B or C and D door switches can be connected. These switches should be fixed on the door in such a way that when the door is closed the switch gets closed and when the door is open the switch remains open. If the switches or wire, are not used between these points, the points should be shorted. With the help of a wire, connect the touch point (P) with the handle of a door or some other suitable object made of conducting material. When one touches this handle or the other connected object, pin 6 of IC1 goes ‘low’. So the alarm and the relay gets switched on. Remember that the object connected to this touch point should be well insulated from ground. For good touch action, potentiometer VR3 should be properly adjusted. If potentiometer VR3 tapping is held more towards ground, the alarm will get switched on even without touching. In such a situation, the tapping should be raised. But the tapping point should not be raised too much as the touch action would then vanish. When you vary potentiometer VR1, re-adjust the sensitivity of the touch point with the help of potentiometer VR3 properly. If the alarm has a voltage rating of other than 6V (more than 6V), or if it draws a high current (more than 150 mA), connect it through the relay points as shown by the dotted lines. As a burglar alarm, battery backup is necessary for this schema. Note: Electric sparking in the vicinity of this schema may cause false triggering of the schema. To avoid this adjust potentiometer VR3 properly.
